Intuitive Healer
Hamid Shenasi
My name is Hamid, and I live in Vancouver – surrounded by the ocean, mountains, and trees.
I’ve spent most of my adolescence and early adulthood moving, playing, and exercising. I learned so much about myself and life by learning new movements and pushing my limits in physical ways, and eventually passionately teaching others to do the same.
And then came the healing. I found a deeper sense of wholeness and purpose when I began to connect my love of movement with healing the body – starting with my own body first, and then others’ as it often goes for us exercisey & heal-ey types. This is how @theforgehealth was forged in 2015.
And then one day came the grey beard hairs, and with them a drive to share something a little deeper and intimate: the Spirit. I fell in love with meditation in my early 20’s and have likely spent the equivalent of many, many months in intentional meditation. I love the teachings of Adyashanti and Ram Dass, and in many ways, they have shaped and continue to shape who I am.
I’m very excited about this new chapter of my life, where I get to see the body, mind, and spirit all come together in my offerings.
Nowadays, I spend my time between offering a 1-on-1 healing practice in the heart of Kitsilano, guiding the beautiful community at @kolmkontrast in reconnecting to themselves through heat, cold, and breath work, creating healing workshops with friends, and continuing to support the most amazing practitioners and members of the community at @theforgehealth in the city of Burnaby.
And believe it or not, there’s a lot more to me than what I do to fulfil my sense of purpose!
I love exceptional coffee and a flaky yet soft croissant.
I love being around other humans who enjoy a good laugh and deep conversations, but also love some shared silence.
I can be funny, create cool things, dance, party – and I can also lie in my hammock all day and love every second of it.
I still love to exercise and love doing yoga with @lyndseyellye
I’m excited to connect with you and build a community of like-minded humans together.
